M.D. Assoc. Prof. Ertan Ökmen went to Houston, Texas and worked as a research fellow at Texas Heart Institute, affiliated with Baylor College of Medicine, after his cardiology training. He worked as a visiting physician in the Heart Failure and Transplantation Department at Johns Hopkins Medicine in Baltimore. His main interest areas are interventional cardiology, particularly transradial interventions, heart failure and onco-cardiology. He is one of the pioneers of transradial coronary angiography and interventions at Anadolu Medical Center and in Turkey as a whole.
